The Georgia Career and Technical Instruction (CTI) program, in collaboration with the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), recently participated in the Fall Rally at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agriculture Center on October 11, 2023. This event brought together CTI chapters from across the state for a day of motivation, spirited competition, and wholesome fun.
The highlight of the event was the stirring address by guest speaker **Lasada Pippen**, who delivered a compelling message on fostering a "Champions Attitude." He emphasized that challenges are opportunities in disguise and urged students to set ambitious goals, for it is the pursuit of loftier objectives that breeds personal growth.
Following the Rally, students were treated to the magic of the Georgia National Fair. The fair's enchanting atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for students to experience thrilling rides, savor delicious fair delicacies, witness captivating shows, and interact with a delightful array of animals.
One of the most awaited segments of the day was the Themed Speech competition, which commenced at 2 p.m. In this competition, seven CTI students took the stage to share their reflections on the theme "The Impact of Georgia CTI in my Life." Their speeches were moving tributes to the transformative influence of Georgia CTI, as they thanked their teachers and the organization for instilling in them the courage to tackle challenges, pursue their dreams, and believe in themselves.
The event also saw a showcase of creative talents, as students competed in designing T-shirts, banners, and pins, embodying this year's CTI theme - "aCTIvate dreams." The entries were a testament to the students' boundless creativity and their commitment to the program's core values.
Georgia CTI extends heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants for their hard work and dedication. Their collective efforts have not only illuminated the vibrant spirit of Georgia CTI but have also embodied the essence of the program's mission – nurturing future leaders and dreamers.
