Georgia CTI Hosts 2026 State Leadership Conference at Rock Eagle
Eatonton, GA – April 17, 2026 - Georgia CTI successfully hosted its annual State Leadership Conference (SLC) April 15–17 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, Georgia. The conference brought together 643 students, 103 CTSO advisers, 57 chaperones, and representatives from 95 schools across the state for three days of leadership development, competition, and collaboration.
Students participated in 56 competitive events, demonstrating skills in career exploration, workplace readiness, and leadership. In addition to competition, students engaged in a leadership track designed to strengthen communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that support success beyond high school.
A highlight of the conference was the continued success of CTI’s statewide community service initiative supporting the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta CAMPS Program. This year, CTI students raised over $9,100, bringing the organization’s 18-year total to more than $224,000.
Top fundraising schools recognized included:
- 1st Place: Seminole County High School – $2,500
- 2nd Place: Pickens County High School – $1,750
- 3rd Place: Golden Isles Career Academy – $566.66
Through the CTI Youth Improvement Quest, participating schools also contributed to scholarship funding. As a result, 10 outstanding seniors were awarded $500 scholarships based on their career goals, service, and involvement in CTI.
The conference also recognized excellence in student leadership. The Leadership Award was presented to State Secretary Hannah Boatright for her outstanding service and commitment.
New state officers for the 2026–2027 school year were elected following a competitive process that included campaigning and interviews. These students will represent Georgia CTI and continue to develop leadership, public speaking, and advocacy skills.
In addition to structured programming, students participated in networking opportunities, team-building activities, and recreational events including volleyball, canoeing, fishing, basketball, laser tag, and more. The annual talent show and dance provided opportunities for students to express themselves, build confidence, and celebrate their accomplishments.
The Georgia State Patrol also supported the conference by providing a Big Rig Driving Simulator at no cost, offering students hands-on experience to better understand safe driving practices and the impact of their decisions on others.
Georgia CTI extends its sincere appreciation to the many judges, volunteers, Board of Directors, Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA), the Georgia Department of Education CTAE Staff, and the Rock Eagle staff for their support in making this conference a success.
The State Leadership Conference continues to be a cornerstone experience for CTI students, providing meaningful opportunities to develop skills, build connections, and prepare for life after high school.
