Georgia CTI State Officers Participate in Leadership Training and Team Building Weekend

2026-27 Georgia CTI State Officers

May 28-30, 2026 - The 2026-2027 Georgia CTI State Officer Team recently participated in CTI Officer Training and CTSO Officer Training, beginning their year of service with a focus on leadership development, teamwork, and professional growth.

The training began with CTI-specific activities designed to help officers build relationships, develop communication skills, and learn how to work effectively as a team. Through collaborative challenges and leadership exercises, students explored their individual strengths while gaining a deeper understanding of their role as representatives of Georgia CTI and their local schools.

Following CTI Officer Training, the officers joined state officers from Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) across Georgia at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center for CTSO Officer Training. The event was coordinated with support from Georgia Department of Education CTSO Program Specialist Ms. Lynsey Singleton.

Throughout the weekend, students participated in workshops and activities focused on professional etiquette, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and leadership. Officers also had opportunities to network with student leaders from other CTSOs, fostering relationships and sharing ideas that will benefit their organizations throughout the year.

Although weather conditions prevented most participants from completing the camp's traditional Mud Course activities, students continued engaging in team-building experiences and leadership exercises. The event concluded with opportunities for fellowship, networking, and community building among student leaders from across the state.

Because Georgia CTI State Officers represent schools from various regions of Georgia, training events such as these provide valuable opportunities for students to build relationships and develop the collaborative skills needed to effectively serve their organization throughout the year.
